About this document

The document in detail.

Points accumulate one show at a time. Most exhibitors have a general sense of where they stand, a specific number they aren't quite sure about, and at least one win they thought was a major that turned out not to be because they never confirmed the dogs-present count. The Per-Show Results Log closes all 3 gaps at once.

Every show gets one row. The row captures the date, show name and location, registry, judge, class, dogs present, award or placement, points earned, and a running total that updates after every entry. At the end of the season, the whole year is in order on one sheet.

What the document does:

It creates a permanent, ordered record of every result so you can see where a title run stands at any point in the season. The Major Tracking section is a separate table for wins that may qualify as majors, with a confirmation column that forces you to verify the dogs-present count before you credit the win. The Award Code Reference and Season Summary sections round the document out so you don't need anything else to close out a season.

What is included:

  • Main Show Results Log with 40 data rows and columns for date, show and location, registry, judge, class entered, dogs present, award or placement, points earned, running total, and notes
  • Major Tracking Log with 8 dedicated rows capturing show, dogs present, required for major, points awarded, judge, and a confirmed yes or no column with a note on why the dogs-present count is what determines a major
  • Award Code Reference covering 12 codes from WD and WB through BIS, plus NQ and Q for performance entries
  • Season Summary block capturing total shows, total points, confirmed majors, best placement, dog with most progress, and handler used most often

Format and how it works:

Includes a Word document. Landscape format so the full results log fits across a single page. Print one copy per dog per season. Fill in each row at the show or the same evening while the details are fresh. The running total column should match the Point and Title Tracker tab for that dog.

Why this version is different:

The dogs-present column and the Major Tracking section are the parts that matter most and the parts most generic results logs skip entirely. A win with insufficient competition does not count as a major under any registry. Most exhibitors learn that the hard way when they're applying for a title and a win gets rejected. This document makes the confirmation step explicit and required before you credit the win.

Who this is for:

For exhibitors tracking active title runs who want a complete, auditable record of every result. Especially useful for programs with multiple dogs in competition at the same time, where keeping each title run straight requires a document per dog instead of memory. Pairs with the Point and Title Tracker, which pulls running totals from this log, and the Ring Notes and Critique Sheet, which captures the qualitative side of the same show.

Updates

When the laws change, the document updates too.

You bought version 1. When a state adds a registry requirement, a new federal rule lands, or a working breeder catches something that belongs in the document, the new file shows up in your inbox. No upsell, no annual subscription, no "unlock by upgrading." The document is yours, updates included, forever.

Common questions

A few things before you buy.

The contracts were drafted with an attorney and pressure-tested across multiple working programs, but they are templates — not a substitute for a lawyer for your specific state's laws. Each file ships with a clear note about that. Most breeders use them as a starting point and have a local attorney review for state-specific edits.

DOCX. The DOCX opens in Word, Google Docs, Pages, or LibreOffice. Everything is editable.

When I ship a new version of this document, the new file lands in your inbox. Laws shift. A state adds a registry requirement. A working breeder tells me something that belongs in the document. The next version goes out to everyone who bought the previous one. No upsell, no annual subscription.

14-day no-questions-asked refund. If the documentdoesn't fit your operation, you get your money back and I'd genuinely like to hear why so the next version is better.

Yes, by a wide margin if you need more than two or three documents. The Show Trial Kit bundles this and every other show & trial document for $12.
