Document · Keeper's Emergency
Turn vague memory into a clear timeline. One row per day, one page per week, with leopard and crested gecko target ranges so vet visits and crisis decisions have real data.
About this document
Most gecko health problems are husbandry problems caught late. Daily tracking turns vague memory into a clear timeline. When the keeper spots a change on day 3, they have two data points to compare. When something goes wrong on day 30, they have a month of context to hand the vet. The Daily Husbandry Log is the working document that makes that timeline real.
It is sized for one week per page. The keeper prints a stack at the start of each month, fills one row per day at the same evening slot, and files the completed pages in the kit binder. Within 90 days the binder holds a real picture of how the gecko's enclosure has been running.
What the document does:
It captures nine fields per day in a tight grid (date, day of week, hot side temperature, cool side temperature, humidity, eating, drinking, defecation, behavior notes). The animal profile header captures species, hatch date, sex, source, and week-of date. The target ranges section gives species-specific guidance for leopard gecko and crested gecko. The weekly notes section captures vet visits, husbandry changes, and observations.
What is included:
Format and how it works:
Word version (.docx) for editing and a PDF version for printing. Most keepers print and clip into a binder. The grid is sized to be filled quickly at the end of each day, ideally in a 5-minute evening slot. The Daily Husbandry Log is the long-term version of the tracking that begins on day 4 of the First 72 Hours Protocol.
Why this version is different:
Most husbandry logs you find online are spreadsheet templates that nobody fills out because they require opening a computer. This one is print-and-clip. The grid is dense enough that the keeper sees the whole week at once, which is what makes trends visible. Combined with the Husbandry Tracking Workbook (the spreadsheet companion), the keeper has both paper and digital options.
Who this is for:
For gecko keepers who want a real husbandry record without opening a laptop every evening, and for breeders who want every buyer to keep a baseline log from day 4 forward. Pairs with the Weight Log, Feeding Log, Shed Log, and the Husbandry Tracking Workbook for the full husbandry tracking system.
Get the log on its own, or open the bundle for the full kit at volume pricing.

Updates
You bought version 1. When a state adds a registry requirement, a new federal rule lands, or a working breeder catches something that belongs in the document, the new file shows up in your inbox. No upsell, no annual subscription, no "unlock by upgrading." The document is yours, updates included, forever.
Common questions
The contracts were drafted with an attorney and pressure-tested across multiple working programs, but they are templates — not a substitute for a lawyer for your specific state's laws. Each file ships with a clear note about that. Most breeders use them as a starting point and have a local attorney review for state-specific edits.
DOCX + PDF. The DOCX opens in Word, Google Docs, Pages, or LibreOffice. The PDF is fill-on-screen or print-and-fill. Everything is editable.
When I ship a new version of this document, the new file lands in your inbox. Laws shift. A state adds a registry requirement. A working breeder tells me something that belongs in the document. The next version goes out to everyone who bought the previous one. No upsell, no annual subscription.
14-day no-questions-asked refund. If the documentdoesn't fit your operation, you get your money back and I'd genuinely like to hear why so the next version is better.
Yes, by a wide margin if you need more than two or three documents. The Keeper's Emergency Kit bundles this and every other keeper's emergency document for $18.50.
